2022 Summit Provides Intentional Time to Hear God’s Voice

Aug. 1, 2022 — In the busy-ness of life, even adults may find it difficult to set aside intentional time for silence, reflection, and prayer. New Certification Focuses on Church Administration

July 11, 2022 -- A new certification in church administration will begin soon at BeADisciple.com. Consisting of four six-week courses, the program is delivered completely online and is intended for pastors and laypersons in congregational leadership roles. The first class is enrolling now and begins on Aug. 22. Biblical Compassion and Church Administration offers a non-denominational Christian perspective. BeADisciple.com is part of the Institute for Discipleship at Southwestern College, and has offered quality online educational experiences with roots in Wesleyan theology since 2006. Summit Youth Academy Names New Leadership

May 10, 2022, Winfield, Kan. — The Summit Youth Academy will undergo a change in leadership when the Rev. Wendy Mohler-Seib steps down as director of faith formation at the Institute for Discipleship. Mohler-Seib will join the faculty of Friends University in August as assistant professor of theology.  Now in its sixth year, the Summit is a week-long experience for youth who will be juniors and seniors in high school.
